joshua tregre is a musical theatre pianist based in the dmv and west virginia.    originally from baton rouge, louisiana, he brings over eleven years of piano experience and a deep interest in a wide range of musical styles, especially jazz, classical, rock, and gospel.  before identifying as a pianist, tregre spent eight years studying tenor saxophone in concert and jazz bands, setting a foundation that has shaped his natural sense of improvisation, intuition, and responsiveness at the piano.​

his passion for musical theatre began on the stage, but during college, his focus evolved toward accompaniment and music direction.    this transition led him to pursue and earn a bachelor of music in musical theatre accompanying at shenandoah conservatory, where he graduated in may of 2025.

joshua attributes much of his musical success to his multifaceted background, inspiring him to combine his theatrical training with his musicianship to consciously support actors and enhance their storytelling through music.
